Aussies are medium-sized, robust dogs that are known for their varied coat color and a strong herding instinct. The recognized colors are blue merle, red merle, solid black, and solid red. Males stand at 20-23 inches, and females measure at 18-21 inches at the shoulder. Australian sheppard dogs are sensitive in training, as many breeders state.
